Hey everyone, I thought I'd clarify who I am, since it has been a while since my last post. I'm Arthur, and I'm an engineering student at the University of Pennsylvania. I'm a freshman, but the school year is almost out, which saddens me quite a bit. Nevertheless, it has been a fun time, and I can't wait for the three years to come!

Spring Fling 2012

This past weekend was Spring Fling, which is the biggest college party in the East Coast, all sponsored by the university. The highlight is the concert in Franklin Field, our football field, with two performers. The indie rock band Passion Pit opened for about an hour, followed by two hours of a DJ set by Tiesto. For the unenlightened among you, he's possibly the biggest DJ in the world. It was an amazing concert, along with various on-campus events that made for a very memorable weekend. Can't wait for next year's.

Spring Break

I'm on Spring Break! Except we're not doing anything so I guess that's all for now. I have 2 weeks off, yay. I'm going to update a little on Cookie. Yesterday, Cookie had a bath using flea shampoo! Now she is clean and her fur is silky. I think I should go wash my hair now. But that's my update for now. Bye!

Hello

Hi everyone! I didn't go to school today and I had a fever 2 days ago and I'm still sick. I have a headache, but its getting better. I also have a stuffy nose and my throat hurts. I had to miss the school trip today to Queens, but oh well. Today was really boring and I didn't do anything except lie in bed and check things on the computer. Bye, I'll update ...soon.

how many days til graduation?

A few weeks ago, Carnegie Mellon's Senior Events Committee had an ice skating event honoring the 100th day until graduation. What does that mean? Well that means I have even LESS days until graduation now...

I can't believe that is has been over three and a half years since I took the long drive from New York down to Pittsburgh. I've endured three cold dreary winters here, and three carnivals. I can't wait for the events that the Spring semester will bring, but I can't help but feel sad and nostalgic for the days when I was a freshman, still on the meal plan, still living in dorms, still getting acquainted with city of Pittsburgh. Now I'm a senior and I've realized that there are still so many things in this city that I have yet to explore. To fix that, my roommate and I have a Senior Year bucket list. We have silly things on there, but the majority of items on that list are places that we would be unable to go to elsewhere.

There is going to be a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks, but even as I sit here inundate with the amount of work I have due tomorrow I am dreading graduation and leaving here.

Hey

Hi I'm Amanda and I currently go to The Spence School, in Upper East Side Manhattan.
I'm in the sixth grade, so I'm eleven, but I'm turning 12 on February 11th!
It's my first year at Spence and it's pretty great...
Except my best friend Rikki moved.
I love soup! My favorite color is purple, but I also like lime green and turquoise as 2nd and 3rd.

Sports Update

I guess from my nickname (sportyfreak), you can infer one of my areas of expertise....

As an avid Yankees fan, this season has been quite a disappointment, as have the past five or six years. Nonetheless, it seems to me that the team is on the rise, with a huge offseason upcoming. I hope that the GM Brian Cashman will be able to make the right transactions so the Yankees will be both younger and better. I also look forward to the New Yankee Stadium, though a bit sad that the old stadium will be coming down.

Football has started, and the New York Giants are aiming to repeat as world champions. With a rather easy 4-0 start to the year, who knows where the Big Blue will go this year? May our hopes be with them.

Basketball will start in the end of this month, and my allegiance there lies with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets, as well as to a lesser extent to the New York Knicks. More to come when the season is actually up and running.

That's all for now, more to come soon!
